New Trash Pick Up and Construction Guidelines
Trash Pick Up Guidelines
Due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) threat, beginning Monday, March 30, 2020, Able Disposal will no longer be picking up items and bags of trash that are not placed inside a trash can to protect the health of their employees.
During this time, if you have more trash than what will fit in your trash can, they will empty an extra can. The extra can does not need to be an Able Disposal or Republic Services can. You may use other types of cans similar to what can be purchased at a hardware store.
If you do put an additional can out, please leave a little extra space between the two cans as Able Disposal will try to empty all cans with the arm of the truck so that the employees don't have to handle them. If they can't pick it up with the arm, they will manually empty the can.
Once the coronavirus threat has subsided, they will no longer pick up the other type of cans.
In accordance with Executive Order 2020-21, the Attorney General and Prosecuting Attorney of Berrien County have informed the Village of Grand Beach that no residential construction by outside contractors is allowed at this time unless it is an emergency repair.
