Following the announcement of the state’s first presumptive positive cases of COVID-19, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) are providing recommendations designed to help prevent the spread of the virus.
These recommendations apply at the individual, organizational, and community levels. They apply to businesses, workplaces, schools, community organizations, health care institutions, and individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and health profiles; everyone has an important role to play.

Free Virtual Screening
Free virtual screening over the phone: Anyone in Michigan that is having COVID-19 symptoms such as fever and cough with or without difficulty breathing can schedule a free virtual screening by calling (616) 391-2380. If you or someone else is having severe or life-threatening symptoms, call 911 immediately.
