Task Force Master Plan Survey #2 Information
The process of developing a Master Plan continues to move forward, thanks to the many Grand Beach participants! When complete, this document will serve as a roadmap for the Village looking forward to the next 5 to 20 years. It will identify both needs and desires, potential costs, and a timeline.
There were 204 Grand Beach households that completed Master Planning Survey One from April 21 - May 5, 2023, which was almost 50% of the homeowners! Three Focus Groups were held in June using the information received from the survey as the basis for discussion. Two of the meetings were in-person and one meeting was conducted on Zoom. Approximately 65 people participated in one of the three meetings. A summary of Survey One results were shared with participants. The groups dug deeper on several topics, providing their ideas for moving Grand Beach forward. This information gave the Task Force greater direction in developing Survey Two, which will ask homeowners to prioritize the needs and desires that have been identified. Many of the identified topics listed on Survey Two will include a small amount of detail with approximate costs.
Once the data is received from Survey Two, the Task Force will develop Goals with very specific Action Plans to address items of greatest need and desire. This information will be presented at a Town Hall meeting scheduled for Saturday, August 26.
Please watch your email from Mary Robertson, Clerk-Treasurer of Grand Beach in approximately two weeks for specific information about Survey Two. As with the first survey, only one survey may be completed for each household. Your address will be required on the survey. A link to Survey Monkey will be provided on the Village website. If you prefer to complete Survey Two by paper and pencil, the survey will be available at the Village Office when you provide your Grand Beach address.
