Grand Beach Lakefront Owner,

There will be a Special Meeting for Grand Beach lakefront owners with the New Buffalo Shoreline Alliance (NBSA) on Thursday, September 2  at 7:00 PM Michigan Time at the Village Hall council room.  This meeting is being held for lakefront property owners only.

This is a very important meeting if you value your beach and want to protect your property. Your participation is critical since the NBSA will soon  be filing a lawsuit in federal court to recover the shoreline damages resulting from the construction of the New Buffalo harbor. If you participate we can recover your lost property value (including beach) and the cost of all shoreline armoring. If you don’t participate we can’t include your losses. It is critical to get the majority of GB lakefront owners to join so we can protect the entire 7000’ of Grand Beach lakefront.

The NBSA will use the proceeds from the lawsuit to nourish your beaches and add offshore breakwaters. Future armoring costs will be eliminated. Your beach will grow much wider.

Over 70% of lakefront owners north of Grand Beach have joined the lawsuit. There are no monetary requirements to join. The NBSA is responsible for all legal costs and fees.  Tax deductible donations have funded this effort and are needed.

The NBSA will have representatives available at the meeting to discuss this project and provide the details of the lawsuit. We urge you to attend since this lawsuit will have a huge impact on the value of your property., but only if you participate. You need to sign-up!
