In Spring 2024, the Grand Beach Village Council established the Grand Beach Nature Preserve Task Force. The Task Force is a recommending body and an ad-hoc committee of the Parks and Recreation Committee. Under the guidance and subject to the approval of the Parks and Recreation Committee and the Village of Grand Beach Village Council.

Short Term Rental Committee
The purpose of the STR Oversight Committee is to monitor, assist, and provide recommendations to the Planning Commission and Village Council regarding the operation of short-term rental properties within the Village. The Committee reports to the Planning Commission with oversight from the Village Council. The Committee aims to ensure that these rentals stay in compliance with the STR Ordinance, contribute positively to the local community, while addressing potential challenges such as noise, safety, and neighborhood character. It is important to note that this committee is advisory in nature and the goal is to provide input to the Police and Planning Commission.
