All homes used for short-term rentals must be registered with the Village of Grand Beach.

Questions regarding registration requirements and inspection of short-term rental properties should be directed to Police Chief Ryan Layman at rlayman@michianavillage.org.

The following documents are related to the short-term rental ordinance and are required in order to rent your home as a short-term rental.

STR Oversight Committee

The purpose of the STR Oversight Committee is to monitor, assist, and provide recommendations to the Planning Commission and Village Council regarding the operation of short-term rental properties within the Village. The Committee reports to the Planning Commission with oversight from the Village Council. The Committee aims to ensure that these rentals stay in compliance with the STR Ordinance, contribute positively to the local community, while addressing potential challenges such as noise, safety, and neighborhood character. It is important to note that this committee is advisory in nature and the goal is to provide input to the Police and Planning Commission.
