Can I pay my property taxes with a credit card?

No, we do not accept credit card payments for property taxes.

Do you accept postmarks for payments?

No, we do not accept postmarks for payment of any bills and we are not responsible for timeliness of mail delivery.

How do I pay my taxes if the office is closed?

Property taxes can be mailed to:

The payment can also be deposited in the drop box located outside of the office. 

Please include the payment stub with your check and make sure that your telephone number is on the check in case we have a problem with your payment.

Is the Village Hall open during the pandemic?

Village Hall is closed to the public due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the need to keep our employees and the public safe. 

There is a drop box located outside of the office to drop off payments.  If you are paying your tax bill and require a stamped paid portion of your tax bill, enclose the entire bill along with a stamped self-addressed envelope and we will return your portion to you.

What are your hours?

Normally our office is open 9:00 am to 3:45 pm EST, Monday through Friday, except on holidays. 

With the Covid-19 pandemic, the office is currently closed to the public.  We can be reached at (269) 469-3141 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. EST while the office is closed to the public or by email at the following email addresses:

When is recycling picked up?

Recycling is picked up every other Monday, unless Monday is a holiday, then it will be picked up on Tuesday. 

Recycling is picked up every Monday between July 1 and Labor Day.

When is trash picked up?

Trash is picked up every Monday, unless Monday is a holiday, then it will be picked up on Tuesday. 

Trash is picked up on Monday and Friday between July 1 and the the week of Labor Day.

Where are you located?

We are located at 48200 Perkins Blvd., Grand Beach, MI.  

Where do I vote?

Village elections are held at New Buffalo Township Hall located at 17425 Red Arrow Highway, New Buffalo, Michigan.

Who do I contact if I have a question or a problem related to my cable provider?

Visit Michigan Public Service Commission for information on how to resolve problems with video/cable providers along with other useful information on video/cable providers and services.

Who do I contact to pay delinquent property taxes?

The Village collects delinquent summer property taxes through the last business day in February.  Contact the deputy clerk at (269) 469-3141 for the amount due before that date.  On or after March 1, contact the Berrien Country Treasurer's office at (269) 983-7111, ext. 8569.
