Zoning Board of Appeals

The Grand Beach Village Council serves as the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) and is responsible for the zoning appeals functions of the Village as covered in the relevant sections of the State of Michigan's Planning Enabling Act and Zoning Enabling Act, as well as the Village's Zoning Ordinance.

The filing for an appeal of a decision, interpretation of the zoning ordinance or for a variance shall be in writing on a form provided by the Village Clerk, and upon payment of a fee as may be established from time to time by the Village Council.

A request for an interpretation or variance may be filed at any time; the date of the hearing will be dependent on the date of filing in order to meet posting deadlines as required by the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act, M.C.L.125.3103.
